Priority1, a privately held third-party logistics company, is looking to hire a talented data scientist to join a growing team responsible for the development of a transportation and logistics technology platform. Ideal candidates will be diligent in problem solving, dedicated to the quality of their work, skilled in one or more required technologies, and overall versatile. Qualified candidates have demonstrated experience working in small, agile development teams responsible for the delivery of web-based solutions. They will have experience with all aspects of application development ranging from design, development, testing, and support. Required Skills & Experience Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions aligned with our company vision. Build predictive models and make data-driven predictions or recommendations.
Leverage statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques to extract insights from data and drive data-driven decision making.
Present findings and insights through data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Effectively communicate complex analytical concepts to stakeholders.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements. Translate business questions into analytical problems and define clear goals for data analysis projects.
Proficiency in using one or more programming or scripting languages to work with data such as: Python, Perl, R, or C#. Engineering experience using large data systems on SQL, Hadoop, etc.
Some experience and or project course work performing data analysis and applying statistics working with tools such as: Excel, R, MATLAB, AMPL, or SAS.
