Job Description
We are seeking a C++ Software Developer to join our Modelling & Simulation team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing critical software for the development of Active Cockpit simulator and its supporting utilities. You will be involved in various aspects of software development, from design to implementation, testing, and integration. This position requires strong programming knowledge in C/C++ using Visual Studio and the ability to work with UI/HMI. The ideal candidate should have experience with configuration control tools, ability to think creatively, and possess a proactive mindset. You will also be involved in developing system architectures to meet emerging IT & IT Security requirements and must hold security clearance.
Qualifications
• Strong programming knowledge and experience in C/C++ using Visual Studio
• Developing UI / Human Machine Interface (HMI).
• Experience of configuration control tools, Mercurial and/or Git.
• Ability to use your own initiative and act independently as required
• Proactive with the ability to think creatively
• Security Clearance Required
Desirable skills
• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maths or Physics
• Experience in Task Leading duties, including QMS documentation
• Mentoring
• Cross platform development on Windows and Linux
• Eurofighter / Typhoon / Avionics / Mission systems domain knowledge
• Use of Jira to manage software tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
