Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

LOB Specific Summary

Software Engineer dedicated to Capital Markets Technology, with focus on building and managing end to end Digital Deal execution initiative. Key responsibilities include defining the technology strategy for the respective lines of business, managing a team of developers both onshore and offshore, creating technology architecture for the applications, managing the deliverables and commitment to stability and operational excellence. The role requires the person to work closely with business and other technology stakeholders in a scaled Agile model. The role also requires working on creating detailed design of the system, working with CTO to define the monitoring requirements, mentoring other senior developers, and making sure the team follows all technology best practices.

The role will require the person to gain an in-depth understanding of Capital Markets applications and technologies. The person will work with senior stakeholders to help prioritize work for the development team.

Responsibilities:
• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
• Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
• Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
• Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
• Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:
• Experience building various financial applications, with experience in web development. Should have led and owned the delivery of applications using Angular, micro-services and messaging technologies.
• Ability to design system architecture and execute the design into clear roadmaps, come up with estimates on user stories and evaluate story points.
• Experience with building and leading project, on both client and server-side development. Should have shown complete end to end ownership of application development and management
• Good knowledge of MuleSoft
• Extensive experience with Java and related technologies.
• Very strong verbal and written communication.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Champion in agile methodology and should be planful and willing to take calculated risks
