As Virgin Atlantic look to deliver significant revenue growth in the corporate sector, there is a need for laser focused account planning, relationship management and execution. In this role youu2019ll be fully accountable for achievement of the portfolio revenue target, whilst maximising price strategy, commercial dealing and marketing plans.
This critical role will create and manage complex strategic projects, fully responsible for the end to end delivery. Youu2019ll focus on driving continuous improvement through challenging existing processes and building new end to end process to suit the evolving trading environment, whilst driving the use of data analysis to facilitate smart decision making.
Day to day
• Overall achievement and delivery of Sales for VAA. Maximizing sales through documented, structured, detailed sales planning.
• Detailed actions to achieve and exceed budgeted targets for VAA Corporate accounts, with accountability for portfolio revenue results
• Own plans to identify upselling and cross selling opportunities, and reducing the of cost of sale/discounting through documented sales strategy.
• Route and price realisation focus and prioritisation
• Regular communication of performance and trends to Head of Channel, implement documented actions plans. Accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate high level projects across functional teams including Revenue Management, Marketing, Network Planning, Distribution, Sales Dealing & Development and Sales Operations.
• Develop documented detailed sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and business objectives.
• Formulate end to end plans for new revenue opportunities.
• Develop and execute creative and engaging sales strategies that drive tangible step change in performance with key stakeholders across your portfolio.
• Build and deliver robust distribution plans, through thought leadership and market intelligence.
• Own and optimise account planning and CRM and usage.
• Identify seams within the wider department, look for solutions and deliver new process in a structure & documented fashion.
• Embed and deliver change management initiatives.
• Maximise customer face time and consistently deliver on call standards
• Represent Virgin Atlantic in market, participating in industry panels and active membership of trade bodies, alongside representing field sales on internal projects.
• Sound business judgement with a proven ability to influence others both internally and externally.
• Creation of professional and informative briefing documents for Senior Management.
• Lead high value commercial negotiations and terms to enable long term profitable growth. Ensure business agreements are in place.
• Ensure that quarterly reviews are held with all assigned partners to drive performance through effective planning.
About you
Do you have proven experience in a sales or client based commercial function? Are you an excellent negotiator with proven historical results, leading complex, multiparty/international bid processes, whilst using analysis to lead your decision-making? Then this could be the role for you
Alongside the above weu2019re looking for the following to be successful in your application:
• Relentless sales focus and results orientation, with excellent resource, time management and planning.
• Project management experience, whou2019s confident presenting and public speaking to large audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrable experience creating and executing successful segment strategy within a sales organisation (preferably travel industry)
• Experience informally leading teams or projects/matrix management experience.
