Interim Management Accountant
St. Albans- Hybrid
Up to £60,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of allocated P&L lines in accordance with financial period deadlines, applying accruals, prepayments, and revenue recognition policies.
• Take full ownership of allocated P&L lines and explain variances month on month and to the prior year.
• allocated balance sheet accounts, ensure audit-standard backup is available, and highlight all risks and opportunities to the Head of Reporting.
• Collaborate with Regional Finance Managers to resolve club queries and corrections promptly.
• Assist with the year-end audit, including drafting audit papers.
• Review accounting processes for allocated P&L lines, recommend, and implement improvements where possible.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of allocated income lines as required.
• Participate in the monthly reporting process.
• Deliver accurate monthly reporting with minimal prior period adjustments.
• Fully own the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations and reporting all risks and opportunities.
• Provide analysis and comments on allocated P&L lines in the monthly reporting.
Experience:
• Qualified accountant with recognised accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in month-end reporting within a finance team.
