Job Description
In BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences), a distinguished department within our company’s renowned Research and Development division, quantitative scientists, in partnership with other subject matter experts, apply state-of-the art scientific methodologies and tools to enable the discovery, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and marketing of medical drugs and vaccines for the benefit of patients and global human health.
The incumbent is responsible for statistical planning and data analysis of clinical pharmacogenomics (PGx) studies, oncology biomarker studies, digital biomarker studies and early phase clinical trials as well as other translational biomarker related analyses. This position requires strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and a solid knowledge of statistical methodology. A successful applicant is expected to be self-motivated and innovative.
Primary responsibilities:
• Develop, coordinate, and provide statistical leadership and support for clinical pharmacogenomics projects (i.e., candidate gene studies, PK-PGx studies, GWAS and NGS studies etc.) and oncology biomarker projects which focus on molecular and exploratory biomarkers.
• Provide statistical leadership and support for digital biomarker and other translational biomarker studies.
• Provide statistical leadership and support for early-stage (phase I and II) clinical trial programs.
• Interact with Clinical, Regulatory, Statistical Programming, Data Management, and other company Research Laboratories scientists in designing and analyzing data from clinical trials as well as analyzing oncology biomarker and clinical data.
• Coordinate all statistical activities for ongoing clinical projects.
• Conduct innovative research for new statistical methods and applications in pharmacogenomics, translational biomarkers and clinical trial development if needed.
Education Requirements:
• PhD in statistics or biostatistics or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
