Job Purpose
• The highest priority goal for AHM is to build a Software as a Service (SaaS) business. The purpose of this role is to develop and code these new services defined by the business. Executing this new business strategy requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. The Digital Services Development Division is tasked with executing new Software services for Honda. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values, enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace. We will do this by selecting, innovating, incubating, developing, new businesses services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America.
• We are seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Developer with experience in developing services for native mobile applications on iOS and Android. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ full stack experience with developing front-end application as well as integration with back-end data services. We are looking for software developers who have a startup mentality but also has the flexibility to work within a changing legacy environment. Who is innovative, versatile, and enthusiastic to take on new challenges. Working in a new Agile environment with the business team, product managers and other engineers, you will develop, test, and enhance new software solutions.
Key Accountabilities
• Mobile app development for iOS and/or Android Features/Services
• Participate or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders
• Create technical documentation and content Features/Services developed
• Perform unit testing and bug fixes from Integration and System testing feedback
• Meetings and other non-project related tasks
• Fully responsible for developing MVP for New Features / Services assigned

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Educational qualifications:
• An undergraduate or graduate level degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.
Key qualifying skills:
• 7 or more years of demonstrable experience (non-internship), in iOS and/or Android development, Swift and/or Kotlin.
• 7 or more years of leading software development lifecycle (SDLC), covering coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing and operations.
• Should be well-familiar with product development lifecycle.
• 5 or more years of multi-platform development experience (i.e. React Native, Kotlin, Flutter)
• 5 or more years leading junior developers.
• Experience in building consumer facing iOS and/or Android applications.
• In-depth understanding of frameworks.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma and Github
Other job-specific skills:
• Should be able to fluently utilize and properly decide asynchronous programming, multi-threading, dependency injection, reflection.
• Should have experience in beta production releases and in market enhancements.
• Strong coding skills enabling clean and maintainable code base.
• Experience in writing APIs, libraries and tools.
Desirables:
• Kotlin Multiplatform experience - a technology that enables reusing code across Android, iOS, web, desktop, and server-side while retaining native programming.
• Full stack experience.
• Automotive industry experience.
