SUMMIT Direct Care: is a medical practice that provides holistic Primary and Urgent Care for all ages. The direct care model removes intermediaries and relies on patient membership fees rather than insurance reimbursements. Located in Fairfax, VA, SUMMIT Direct Care has an immediate need for a Full-Time Family Medicine Physician, M-F, 8-5.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, with a strong commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, building lasting relationships, and promoting overall health and wellness. The ideal candidate has an interest or training in functional medicine and / or integrative medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care: Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical care to patients across the lifespan, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care.
• Holistic Approach: Embrace and implement a holistic approach to patient care, addressing not just physical health, but also emotional and spiritual well-being.
• Direct Primary Care: Operate within the direct primary care model, allowing for extended patient visits, minimal administrative burden, and a focus on personalized care.
• Patient Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with patients, fostering trust and continuity of care.
• Clinical Excellence: Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to deliver coordinated and efficient care.
• Education & Advocacy: Educate patients on preventive health measures, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options. Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Medical Degree (MD or DO): Graduated from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
• State Medical License: Active and unrestricted medical license in [State].
• DEA License: Valid DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience: Experience in family medicine preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Skills: Proficient in the full spectrum of family medicine, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
