The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to set up and drive the operations of the newly founded Adobe Incubator, an in-house unit aiming to catalyze disruptive innovation at Adobe by seeding, launching, and scaling ideas as well as the Corporate Strategy team. As the Business Manager, you will design and manage critical internal processes and ensure the success of each incubation venture in the Incubator and assist in the smooth operations of the Corporate Strategy team.

This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to operate a newly formed organization independently, while having access to the resources of a major, innovative technology company. The Business Manager will report to Adobe’s VP of Strategy.

What you will do
• Set up core processes and operations for the Incubator, including venture pipeline management, drive incubator communications and reporting, including C-level presentations, support of operations for individual ventures as well as the Corporate Strategy team
• Support key budgeting & finance processes, including ongoing P&L management and annual headcount and resource planning
• Partner with Recruiting teams for all Incubator and Corporate Strategy hiring needs
• Orchestrate and support critical governance and processes, such as preparing presentations for steering committees and board meetings
• Lead cross-functional incubator support teams including finance, marketing, IT, and operations colleagues and collaborate with senior leaders of business units
• Codify and share best practices on incubator operations and venture scaling across relevant stakeholders
• Organize and run incubator-specific and Corporate Strategy events & programming, like guest speakers, annual off-sites, happy hours, or networking opportunities
• Manage pipeline for new ventures (both ideas and teams), ensuring sufficient application volume, active communication with applicants, and smooth selection process

What is needed to succeed
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, computer science, engineering, or similar field
• 8+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, program management, or (corporate) venture capital organizations
• Passion for startups, innovation management, and breakthrough technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solid understanding of corporate finance, headcount, and budgeting processes
• Excellent written communication skills, including presentation and written memo formats. Strong verbal communication skills across seniority levels.
• Proven organizational skills, with the ability to run multiple threads simultaneously and prioritize optimally
• Ability to context-switch seamlessly between top-down executive communication and the operational day-to-day management of individual ventures
• Consistent record of running successful programs with little friction with a passion for crafting well-run processes and systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,900 -- $262,100 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
