Who we are: Our client is a full-service home painting company that uses software to dramatically improve the homeowner and operator’s experience. They have incredibly AMBITIOUS goals over the next several years with painting being the first of many services they will offer as they drive to be the largest residential general contractor in the United States.

Title: Painting Production Lead

Compensation range:
• Salary - $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
• Equity Award - Real ownership in the company over time!

Location: On site in Charlotte, NC

About the job: We’re hiring a Production Lead for our fast growing painting business! This person will be responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from start to finish, leading a team of painters to ensure that projects are efficiently completed at the highest levels of quality and with industry-leading professionalism. This role requires a strong leader with a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, an interest in helping our painters develop, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. This is the launchpoint for a career, not just a job.

Work You’ll Do:
• Team Leadership: manage multiple crews of painters by providing direction, guidance, and support to achieve high performance and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Project Management: plan and coordinate painting projects by helping to staff projects and coordinate logistics, oversee the execution of onsite preparation, repair, painting, and monitor progress to address issues and ensure timely completion.
• Quality Control: maintain a relentless focus on quality by conducting regular inspections of work to verify quality and address any deficiencies promptly.
• Customer Interaction: obsess over making our client the very best painting company in the country by delivering exceptional service with homeowners.
• Performance Management: regularly evaluate painter development, set performance goals and expectations, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, recognize achievements, address areas for improvement, and implement training programs to enhance skills and capabilities.

Here's what we're looking for:

You know home services -

- You’ve run field operations in a home service company and know how to lead teams in the field and create happy customers

- Major bonus points for residential painting experience leading crews and projects

You are an experienced leader -

- Excellent communication skills with team members, coworkers and customers

- Coachable, willing to lead and follow based on situation

- You hold team members accountable to their commitments and goals

- You set the example for what great looks like

- You ALWAYS keep calm under pressure

You obsess over the customer -

- You set the standard for every customer interaction whether in the home, on the phone or by email

- You handle customer complaints, knowing that the best companies show who they are when things go wrong. You know how to make things right even in the worst situations.

- You obsess over quality so the customer doesn’t have to, taking pride in every detail along the way

Interview process:

1. Phone screen with recruiter 30-45 mins

3. Video interview with COO: 15-30 mins

4. Video interview with CEO: 15-30 mins

5. On site visit:

Meet with COO: 30 mins

Meet with Field Operations Leaders (2:1 interview): 45 mins

6. Any other steps as requested by the leadership team
