The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Principal, Product Technology Delivery. This role is to ensure delivery excellence in building and supporting products for our clients. This role will provide strategic technology leadership, mentorship, support to achieve the goals of the Product Technology Delivery Team.
This is a technical role and requires the individual to understand data and software architecture, design, and testing principles, and be able to apply them to ensure the delivery of software products of the highest quality and standards.
Day in the Life:
• Strategic Planning: With input from Product Technology SVP, peers, leaders and stakeholder, assist and prepare the creation of a strategic vision documentation for a comprehensive technology strategy for both software and data development aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Define long-term plans, roadmaps, and initiatives to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and meet business needs.
• Resource Allocation: Track and manage resource allocation, including budget and personnel for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Working in conjunction with Product Enablement team, represent the Product Technology Delivery in Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Metrics: Create and continuously improve metrics to measure delivery success rates. Coach and mentor leaders to use and improve metrics.
• Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development. Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development processes and drive innovation. Foster a culture of exploration and experimentation.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, product owners, and other business units, to understand their needs, provide strategic guidance, and align software development efforts with organizational objectives. Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels.
• Exceptional ability to create visually appealing and impactful presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas, data, and information.
• Exceptional ability to effectively communicate complex data concepts to executive stakeholders and clients.
• Communities of Practice: Define and implement schedule, structure, expectations to ensure these are designed, implemented and effective.
• Collaboration and Cross-functional Alignment: Foster collaboration and effective communication between software development teams and other departments, such as product management, design, and operations. Promote cross-functional alignment to ensure successful product delivery and seamless integration with other business functions.
• Risk Management: Track and ensure compliance with risk management identification and remediation. Monitor and address issues proactively to ensure project success.
• Vendor Engagement: Assist and represent product technology in vendor partnerships relationships and effectiveness.
• Stay connected with the broader software development community, share insights, and promote the organization's brand and reputation as a leader in software development.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems related disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Scrum certification required.
• Ten (10) years experience in a Product software development type role.
For California, Colorado and New York Applicants: In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:
$126,600.00 - $164,600.00
Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
