Absolute Staffing is searching for two temporary Accounts Payable Specialist's to work with our client.

Location: Remote with limited travel to Linthicum Heights, MD
Travel Required: Limited, local travel

Position Summary

The Temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist ensures the timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and mileage reimbursements for Self-Directed Services, in line with FMSC contract requirements. Responsibilities include communication with stakeholders regarding contract and internal policies, and efficiently managing multiple demands and deadlines.
Essential Functions
• Invoice and Reimbursement Processing: Review and process invoices and mileage reimbursements ensuring proper documentation and compliance with requirements.
• Budget Verification: Verify participant budgets to prevent overpayments.
• Vendor Data Management: Enter vendor information into systems like Bill.com.
• Documentation Management: Process vendor W-9 documentation.
• Customer Service: Respond to correspondence, service tickets, and escalated emails per SOP and contract timelines. Provide guidance to participant employers regarding program requirements.
• Research and Audits: Assist in research and audits of invoices and reimbursements.
Other Functions
• Program Knowledge: Maintain understanding of program processes and requirements.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; BS in business or accounting preferred.
• Experience: Several years of demonstrated Accounts Payable experience.
• Skills:
• High data entry speeds while maintaining a high degree of integrity.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical skills to draw actionable insights.
• Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.
• Systems experience with FMSE and Bill.com.

Physical & Mental Requirements
• Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk or hear; use hands to operate office equipment; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Mental Demands: Regularly required to use communication skills; read and interpret data; solve complex problems; perform detailed work; manage concurrent tasks under deadlines; interact with diverse stakeholders.
Work Environment
• Setting: Professional remote and onsite office environment.
• Equipment: Regular use of office equipment such as VoIP, printer, scanner, and computer.
Work Schedule
• Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
• In-person Requirements: Quarterly team meetings and other necessary in-person meetings or training sessions.
