Job Title: Technical Writer (Medicaid)
Location: Remote, NC
Client is seeking a contractor to perform a detailed review of Advanced Planning Documents, and develop other documentation required for planning, implementation, and operations to support the client, Medicaid Enterprise System (MES)Program.
Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have deep industry experience.
Description (including, but not limited to):
• Translating information into clear, concise documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
• Developing and/or maintaining the following types of documentation: communications for diverse stakeholder groups; system documentation and release notes; user manuals and training guides; installation guides; computer operations and program maintenance manuals; plans for training, testing, quality assurance, and contingency operations; backup, recovery and restart procedures; proposals, presentations, reports, standard operating procedures (SOP), policies and procedures
• Editing of special reports or any other deliverables and documents
• The Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist produces client documentation and translates information into clear, concise documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. This role manages and develops various documentation, creates presentations, and peer reviews knowledge-based documents for grammar, content, and style of writing.
• The primary focus of the role is to perform a detailed review of Advanced Planning Documents (APD) and other documentation required for planning, implementation, and operations to support the client, Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program.

• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation. Required 4 Years
• Ability to collaborate cross-divisionally to gather information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Required 3 Years
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to decipher and communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Required 4 Years
• Ability to work with APD writers and other resources to comprehend data and translate into user-friendly documentation. Required 3 Years
• Manage, drive and uphold documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency across all materials. Required 3 Years
• Assist in training material development for internal teams and key stakeholders. Required 4 Years
• Prior North Carolina Medicaid, Health & Human Services, Government Agency, Higher Ed, Editorial, or related experience and knowledge. Required 3 Years
• Proven experience in technical writing or documentation specialist role. Required 3 Years
• Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Required 4 Years
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Required 4 ears
• Ability to conduct reviews, perform updates, and maintain iterations of existing documentation to reflect changes and updates. Required 3 Years
• Familiar with reviewing and writing contracts, grants, RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc. Required 3 Years
