We are seeking a skilled Senior Data and Accreditation Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll provide crucial support to the Director of Institutional Assessment, focusing on institutional accreditation, data management, and analysis. Your efforts will help shape and implement assessment and accreditation strategies that align with our university's mission. You'll maintain open communication with faculty and staff about accreditation and assessment initiatives, and support efforts related to data collection, management, analysis, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities
Stay updated on accreditation standards and requirements from organizations like SACSCOC, ACEN, and ACME, including any changes to policies.
Partner with the Director of Institutional Assessment to ensure timely completion of accreditation tasks.
Oversee the accuracy and reliability of data within the university's systems, and manage data reliability workgroups.
Develop and manage processes for collecting, archiving, and tracking assessment and accreditation documents.
Analyze data and share insights with internal and external stakeholders.
Foster a culture of assessment that promotes student and institutional success through effective strategies and processes.
Create and review Dashboards for accuracy and consistency, and assist with the university's survey administration.
Maintain and update the university's data dictionary repository.
Stay informed about emerging data requirements in higher education through professional development and industry resources.
Generate and update Dashboards as needed, and compile documentation for accreditation purposes.
Monitor student data for accuracy.
Participate in university activities and committees, contribute to community outreach, and engage in professional organizations.
Adhere to the university's Culture of Caring and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of higher education systems, particularly within a research university setting.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators.
Skill in troubleshooting technical issues with databases and identifying data inconsistencies.
Experience with process improvement, including process mapping and project management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Analytical thinking and understanding of relational databases.
Experience with database management and data retrieval.
High standards of confidentiality and previous experience with accreditation processes.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
