ABOUT THE POSITION: Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an exceptional substitute in Mathematics for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Responsibilities will run from Monday, January 6 - Friday, May 23. Experience teaching college prep is a plus. The preferred candidate will teach five sections and be assigned to participate in a tutoring rotation.
PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Plan for and teach three sections of Honors Geometry and two sections of Honors Algebra II.
• Be assigned one proctoring assignment of math tutoring.
• Guide college-preparatory learning and teaching activities that align with our school standards and mission.
• Create and maintain a classroom with fair and consistent standards in all areas, including content and assessments as well as interpersonal relationships and behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in mathematics-related field (BA or BS); Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience teaching in a classroom setting.
• Current Ohio teaching license in AYA Integrated Mathematics or eligibility to obtain.

ABOUT SAINT IGNATIUS HIGH SCHOOL: Saint Ignatius High School, which opened its doors September 6, 1886, is a Jesuit college-preparatory school. The school enrolls more than 1,400 young men who hail from 103 cities in a multi-county region. Academically, Saint Ignatius is a regional and state leader in National Merit finalists.
