The teaching assistant will aid the instructor of record in developing teaching materials and providing supplemental instruction to students enrolled in the class.

Duties:
• Identifying and preparing datasets for use as examples in class lectures and in assessments.
• Crafting questions/problem sets and keys for assignments and exams.
• Development of "how to" videos/documentation and other instructional support materials.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of the course Canvas site.
• Holding office hours and/or study sessions to aid and support students.
• Preliminary grading of assignments (final grading to be completed by instructor of record).

This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA ' s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in - person training session.
