Data Scientist / Engineer

San Jose CA (Locals Only)

Hybrid- 3 Days

6+ Month Contract

Payrate- $55 to 60/hr on W2

Required languages:

Spark, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL, Python.

Needs to have strong skills in either Python or Java

Tableau is a plus.

Must Have’s:

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders ranging from Applied researchers, Engineers, Analytics, team leaders, etc.

Experience with Big data technologies.

Good understanding of ML applications

Strong programming skills

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data for actionable items for the team.

Interview Process:

• Codesignal test with minimum score

• Two tech interveiws, 60 miin each

• One manager interview, 30 min.

Team Role

This team focuses on building data / ML services , to guide them ways to optimize for their ad budget and goals, for example by recommending the right inventory, keywords, budget, and bids to apply for their campaigns, and continuously optimize campaigns. This is a relatively new area but with a very high business potential and need. It would allow you to work with massive amounts of data and use a variety of data science techniques.

Responsibilities

· Work with Applied Researchers, Engineers, Analytics and multi-functional teams to produce end-to-end production-ready solutions.

· Design and implement efficient data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets.

· Integrate/deploy machine learning models into production systems.

· Conduct data analysis to identify trends, insights, interpret experimentation and size opportunities within the domain. Translate complex datasets into understandable and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Build dashboards to monitor system/business performance and status

Requirements

· BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

· Experience with big data technologies (i.e., Spark, Hadoop) and database technologies (i.e., SQL, NoSQL)

· Good understanding of machine learning applications.

· Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala or Java

· Experience in solving problems using data science, building practical solutions, and deploying models into production for evaluation

· Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights. Expertise in data mining and segmentation. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
