Job Title: Junior Editor
Location: Los Angeles (Must be local)
FLSA Status: Contract (1-3 Months, Full Time, 40 hrs/week, non-union)
Rate: $1,250/week (31.25 hr)
Hybrid: 2-3 days in office, 2-3 days remote

Summary/Objective:
The Junior Editor will assist the team and Post Producer/Coordinator in delivering edits and managing the Post Production process. This includes addressing notes, doing conforms, exporting masters, ensuring all deliverables' quality, organizing and prepping media, and executing basic edits.
Responsibilities:
Editing Support: Assist in assemblies sequences, rough cuts, final cuts, delivery, and other editorial tasks like syncing, multi cam editing, basic color correction, and stringing out and exporting dailies.
Media Management: Organizing, logging, and maintaining project files, ensuring that all media is properly backed up and accessible.
Transcoding & File Management: Handling transcoding, exporting, and file management to ensure smooth workflow processes.
Quality Assurance: Assisting in reviewing edits to ensure that all notes are addressed and that the final product is error-free before delivery.
Communication: Working closely with the other editors, post-producer, post-coordinator, EP, directors, and other team members to clarify project needs, adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.
Technical Support: Assisting with technical tasks such as software updates and troubleshooting minor issues as they arise.
Other Duties: As assigned, including general post-production-related tasks to support the post team.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in film or a related media field is preferred but not required.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in post-production, preferably in an assistant or junior editor role. In house staff experience highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus but not required.
Detail-Oriented: Must be highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative environment.
Positive attitude: Looking to work full time with a team, experience with commercials.
