Short Description

The team is currently seeking a motivated, analytical and self-driven individual to join the team. The Specialist, Pricing Strategy will be responsible for pricing and offers for the Virgin brand, as well as the Bell brand in Atlantic Canada. In addition, the successful candidate will manage a complex portfolio of targeted pricing activities. This individual will utilize their strategic and financial acumen to help identify, define, and explore pricing opportunities for the Bell team.

The successful candidate will need to work across several cross-functional teams (i.e. wireless pricing, marketing, finance, sales, operations, legal and product) by utilizing their strong communication skills. The ability to influence will be essential. This role interacts directly with the Bell executive team to approve pricing changes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of BRS Pricing & Offer Strategy, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Problem identification, opportunity assessment, proposal development, business case development, and presentation delivery
• Structure development of strategic, transformational, and business process improvement plans
• Involvement in the pricing elements of key Bell Residential Services initiatives, new product launches, line-up refreshes, etc.
• Use of game theory, and other strategic analysis tools, to develop appropriate responses to competitive pricing activities
• Business case development will include: data collection, qualitative analysis, identifying revenue opportunities, cost savings, and profitability analysis
• Relationship building with external departments, working collaboratively in a team environment with colleagues and senior leadership
• Presentation of strategic plans at the senior leadership level

Critical Qualifications
• Undergraduate Degree, Business, Commerce, Engineering or comparable, Masters of Business Administration is an asset
• Experience in a marketing / pricing strategy role
• Experience with financial models and analysis
• Experience presenting to, and influencing, executive decision makers
• Organization, coordination and strong time management skills to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
• English required: Production of documents in English
• Telecommunications experience, an asset
• Professional Accounting designation (CPA, etc.), an asset
• Experience in a Business Analysis role, an asset
