Director of Insurance Risk Management

We are currently searching for a Director of Risk Management who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, assets and processes across the organization, developing and administering the company's risk management programs, creating or modifying policies to comply with regulations and industry practices and acting as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and individuals. This position manages the Safety, Security, Claims, Cyber Risk, and Insurance departments and functions.

Responsibilities for the Director of Risk Management:
• Facilitate risk management programs to mitigate risk that may affect the company's reputation, safety, security and stability.
• Conduct risk assessments, collect and analyze documentation, statistics, reports and market trends.
• Create new or modify existing risk management solutions, such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans or recovery measures.
• Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the division.
• Manage the Safety, Security, Claims, Cyber Risk and Insurance departments or functions.
• Liaise with attorneys, insurance companies and individuals.
• Investigate any incidents that may result in asset loss.
• Draft and present risk reports and proposals for executive and senior leadership.
• Promote organization-wide understanding of risks and risk management strategies.

Essential Skills:
• Demonstrated understanding of policies and best practices of risk management
• Extensive knowledge of legal issues related to organizational liability and insurance trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Excellent mathematical and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite - e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent attention to detail

Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance or related field
• At least six years of experience in program management
• At least five years of managerial experience

Compensation: $120-$175k per year , with full benefits
