Overview We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our client, a leading investment bank in Toronto. This role will focus on developing and enhancing our applications, with a strong emphasis on multithreaded programming and effective communication with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Java development, experience with Fixed Income business, and familiarity with electronic trading platforms, particularly Trumid. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain Java applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Implement and manage multithreaded applications to handle concurrent processing and enhance application efficiency. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Engage in effective negotiation and communication with stakeholders to align project goals and expectations. Utilize knowledge of Fixed Income business to enhance application features and functionality. Work with electronic trading platforms, with a preference for experience with Trumid. Key Requirements Strong experience with Java, with experience in Java 11 - Java 17 Demonstrated experience in multithreaded application development. Experience with Fixed Income trading platforms and electronic trading systems. Familiarity with the electronic trading platform Trumid is ideal. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Solid understanding of multithreading concepts and practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders.
