Wells Fargo is seeking a Ab Initio Lead Software Engineer to support the IT Management Data Warehouse within the Enterprise Data Environment. The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Enterprise Service Management (ESM) is a new organization in EFT which represents the integration of the ServiceNow delivery team, IT data, and Governance to provide an unmatched, industry-leading experience for customers and employees alike. ESM’s vision is to empower our teams to work smarter, faster, and more consistently through efficient process, reusable capabilities, and trusted data. The vision will be accomplished by focusing on the following four priorities:

Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:
• Act in the technical role an individual contributor and help design solutions for complex computer applications and/or applications initiatives
• Utilize a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs
• Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors
• Plan, perform, and act as the escalation point for complex platform designs, coding, and testing
• Lead complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts
• Act as expert technical resources to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process
• Design data services that deliver Strategic Enterprise Risk Management data.
• Design and build high performing and scalable data pipeline platform using Hadoop, Ab Initio and Cloud based solutions
• Collaborate with source system and approved provisioning point (APP) teams, Architects, Data Analysts and Modelers to build scalable and performant data solutions
• Effectively work in a hybrid environment where legacy ETL and Data Warehouse applications and new big-data applications co-exist
• Support ongoing data management efforts for Development, QA, and Production environments
• Resolve issues and propose strategic solutions
• Leverage knowledge of industry trends to build best in class technology to provide competitive advantage
• Act as an expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
• 5+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions
• 3+ years of Ab Initio experience
• 2 years of experience with Technology Asset Management at Wells Fargo or similarly sized financial services organization

Desired qualifications:
• 5+ years of financial services industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Hadoop
• Knowledge and understanding of relational databases: EXADATA
• Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods
• Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes
• Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
• Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change
• Ability to partner as a team member resource
• Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• An industry-standard technology certification
• Wells Fargo software engineering experience
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
