As a Founding Technical Designer at Clementine, you will be working with cutting-edge AI technologies to build experimental games, collaborate with partner studios, and guide the product roadmap. You will also build our in-house game development team and help us grow the community. You will be at the forefront of innovative game design.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development of experimental AI games and mods.
• Guide the product roadmap from a game design perspective.
• Grow a community of game developers building AI games.
• Collaborate with partner studios on joint projects.
• Build the in-house game development team.
• Participate in and help organize game jams and playtests.
• Explore new ways to integrate AI behavior systems into compelling experiences..
• Analyze and provide feedback on community-created games and mods using our tools.

Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in game design, with a focus on systems and prototyping.
• Strong technical background with 2+ years of experience in technical aspects of game development, including programming (e.g. C++, C#, Rust, TypeScript).
• Experience applying an analytical approach to game design; an ability to break down mechanics and systems, as well as explain how and why they work.
• Experience collaborating with diverse cross functional teams to bring a vision to life.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Bonus
• Startup or indie game development experience.
• Experience with procedural content generation and emergent gameplay systems.
• Experience with Game AI (BT, GOAP, HTN) in the context of game design.
• Experience and preference for programming with Rust.
