We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for develop and refining mathematical models for industrial engineering and operations research problems in semiconductor manufacturing and adjacent disciplines. This will include creating and deploying methods/tools for solving single and multi-objective optimization problems. This individual will be responsible for selecting appropriate solvers/approaches as well as maintaining/improving the optimization models once deployed. The role will require collaboration and cross-disciplinary research with others in the engineering/application development teams.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or relevant technical field. A Masters or Bachelors degree may be acceptable if accompanied by relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience in formulating and solving MILP problems with commercial and open-source solvers
• Knowledge of Python and SQL
• Demonstrated software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, or coding projects
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications
• Contribution (as the first author) to publications on industrial engineering and/or operations research
• Experience, including PhD research, in multi-objective optimization
• Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
• Professional experience working in or supporting semiconductor factory operations
