Social Media Specialist (Full Time, In Person)
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating, executing and managing social media strategy across multiple company brands, and interacting with our communities and audiences. This includes providing analysis and recommendations on social media strategies that align with organizational initiatives and goals.
Duties
• Work with management to develop, implement and manage our social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging and audience identification.
• Plan, create, publish and share new content across various platforms that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand.
• Collaborate with various teams, such as retail stores, marketing team, customer relations and product development teams to ensure content is informative and appealing.
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
• Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
• Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
• Interact with industry professionals and influencers via social media to raise our visibility within our community.
• Monitor SEO and customer engagement and suggest content optimization.
• Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns.
• Any and all other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media campaigns that directly drive success metrics.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, verbal communication, and relationship building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for social media and a creative mindset.
• Personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
