Junior Maintenance Technician

Job Description:
• Working together with an experienced team of maintenance technicians / chance of learning all the necessary qualification/company specific Know-How to work as Senior-Maintenance Technician after planned retirement of our current Senior-Maintenance Technicians (within the next 2 years)
• Maintain and repair production machinery, facilities, and office as required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as directed or required.
• Train and develop minor maintenance skills of Machine Operators.
• Promote a safe work environment and obey all established safety and environmental rules/standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery as required in a quality and timely manner.
• Execution of smaller all facility management related tasks to reduce dependency on outside contractors
• Perform preventative maintenance of machinery in accordance with the established PM schedule and checklists.
• Fabricate fixtures and tooling as required.
• Repair any production tooling to ensure they are in good working order.
• Follow all written and verbal work instructions.
• Listen for any unusual machine noises and identify items that may require maintenance.
• Take initiative to repair such items prior to a machine breakdown.
• Participate in meetings and lean/continuous improvement projects as required.
• Follow established safety procedure for maintenance such as Lockout/Tag-out, Welding and Fire Prevention. Maintain safety guards on maintenance shop equipment.

Maintain production machinery to eliminate safety hazards such as fabricating safety guards, repairing exposed electrical wiring, establishing proper Lockout/Tag-out procedures.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years experiences as Maintenance Technician in an industrial type atmosphere.
• Strong machine troubleshooting skills, welding and fabrication skills, and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Proficient in the operation of power and hand tools used for maintenance related tasks.
• Must be a self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Must have valid driver's license
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
