We have the exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced Mid Data Engineer, who is interested create innovative internal tools to support our seamless integration with Snowflake.
Joining Digital Development Team on a permanent basis, his role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in the office in Bescot and three days at home.
In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of like-minded individuals, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Azure ADF, Snowflake, DBT and Airflow. Together, we'll build an advanced data platform that enables faster data ingestion, modelling, and empowers teams to derive maximum value from new data sources.
What You’ll Do…
On a day-to-day basis you will be taking ownership in contributing to; and creating, technical designs, innovative solutions and practical recommendations to immediate teams and the rest of the technology function. As well as;
• Be accountable for maximizing Squads ability to deliver value, hit Sprint goals, and contribute to Strategic Objectives.
• Also be accountable for the Agile process the squad follows to deliver value – acting as a servant leader, delivery manager and coach.
• Identifying, managing, tracking, removing, and escalating blockers/impediments at team level to maintain flow of value, ensuring team progress.
• Leads team meetings e.g. Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retros, etc. to embed best practices and experience to improve.
• Tracks and reports on team performance, progress on goals, and value delivery. Uses visual management tools to report on performance.
What You’ll Need…
Having a strong working knowledge of technology in 2 or more of the following: Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI will be essential, you’ll also need the following;
• Proven work experience and/or certification as a Scrum Master.
• Strong skills and experience with using Agile practices and working tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Deep understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks, with the ability to tailor them to suit the team's needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with colleagues at multiple levels of a company.
• Experience/understanding of Cloud-based technology solutions and delivery, including concepts like containerization, CICD pipelines and Mobile App Development ecosystems.
