Job Description

If you are organized, productive, and like to collaborate with
others, this may be the position you have been looking for. You
will have the opportunity to:
• Plan small events and workshops
• Provide regular administrative and office support
• Support undergraduate and graduate students with applications,
courses, and dissertations
• Assist in the recruitment of new faculty including, making
travel arrangements, and preparing interview agendas
• Assist new faculty in transitioning to the campus
• Work collaboratively and creatively with a solid team of new
and experienced staff

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Assist the Director of Graduate Admissions with incoming
students
• Track student information
• Update the department website working in collaboration with the
Communications team
• Communicate with faculty to properly document their Promotion
& Tenure submissions
• Manage and coordinate travel arrangements such as booking and
purchasing flights, car rental, hotel, and conference
registrations
• Manage faculty review materials and maintain faculty
records
• Schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person meetings for
alumni and faculty
• Manage equipment and space inventory

Other administrative duties as assigned to support the departments
in the Arts & Science portfolio.

This position is located in Middlebush Hall.

Shift

Monday - Friday with an 8-hour day.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of
experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be
acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with SLATE is a
plus.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Anticipated Salary Range: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

Grade: GGS-006
