JOB PURPOSE:
As a Senior Software Developer on the Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure while also having the opportunity to write and contribute to code development. Your work will ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud-based systems. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration, combined with your software engineering skills, will help us build and maintain a robust and efficient infrastructure.
The hiring range for the Senior Software Developer is $109,000 to $139,000.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position is a part of the Development Department and reports to a designated team lead. This position will be fully remote and is a potential for a lead role.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions to support applications and services
• Write, review, and maintain code for various infrastructure-related projects
• Manage and optimize GCP resources, including compute, storage, and networking
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline infrastructure management processes
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure security best practices are followed and implement measures to protect cloud resources
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and infrastructure management
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated expertise in software development, including leading multiple rounds of the software development lifecycle, deployment, and maintenance of software in a production environment
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)
• Experience working on both Linux and Windows systems
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to write, review, and maintain high-quality code
• Experience mentoring and collaborating with other developers
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver) is a plus
• Certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus
