Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Senior API Developer, who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that enable different software systems to communicate with each other
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical field
• 6+ years of experience
• Experience in maintaining and developing software in production (installing and upgrading application software, applying security patches)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Java/J2EE/Springboot
• Experience with API design/development
• Experience with JDBC connections/integrations
• Linux scripting knowledge
• Experience with OAuth authentications - Rest API
• Basic understanding of Hadoop is a plus
• Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
• Experience with Python is plus
Responsibilities:
• Work on software upgrades and docker and security fixes in Linux environment
• Work on API integrations with enterprise applications and AI tools using approved gateways
• Work on Full stack Java Development
• Contribute to the automation of the metadata functions
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs that enable communication between different software systems
• Ensure APIs are well-documented, secure, and scalable
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs with various applications and services
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure reliability and performance
• Implement automated testing where appropriate
• Implement security measures to protect APIs and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Monitor API performance and optimize code and architecture for efficiency and scalability
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and QA testers, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
