**Overview:**
The SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University is seeking part-time Family Consultants to join the New York FarmNet Program. As a Family Consultant, you will provide financial and family/personal consulting to improve the farm business and family communications. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position, with an hourly pay rate of $32.50. **Responsibilities:**
• Provide initial assessments to clients who request support to assist in identifying problems within a farm family or agricultural business
• Guide clients to identify and prioritize solutions based on needs and assist in developing and enacting an action plan
• Connect farm families with local agencies that can provide alternative solutions in challenging situations
• Provide timely responses to phone messages or e-mails and maintain records of services provided to farm families
• Attend training and professional development sessions, and participate in outside professional development opportunities related to responsibilities
• *Qualifications:**
• An MSW, LCSW, Master's in Counseling, Master's in Psychology, or equivalent degree/certification
• Significant, successful experience working with clients on communications skills, interpersonal relationships, goal setting, and/or addiction, family, and mental health counseling
• Proficient computer skills, including Zoom, Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn data entry into the FarmNet database
• Strong communication skills
• A valid driver's license and ability to travel within the state
• Experience in agriculture or agribusiness is preferred

This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. However, travel time is paid and reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate
