An award-winning teaching hospital in New York is searching for an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Educator to join their team!
This acute care facility is home to 400+ beds, an adult/pediatric trauma center, NICU, robotic surgery, oncology, pediatrics, and a family birthing pavilion! This hospital utilizes the latest in technology and evidence-based practices. This facility utilizes a patient first philosophy.
The Nurse Educator provides orientation and continuing education programs for our nursing staff. The Educator will determine ongoing educational needs for all levels of staff in collaboration with the Nurse leadership. He/She will also participate in committees, task forces, and meetings that contribute to the attainment of the Nursing Department's goals and objectives. Must be willing to provide education and guidance to all levels of personnel, externs, interns, ancillary as well as RN's.
The Nurse Educator role will require:
• Previous ED experience (required)
• 5 years’ experience in a specialty
• New grad training experience (preferred)
• Masters Degree
• TNCC and CEN required or must be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
