Nursing Scheduler / Nursing Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish)

The Nursing Department Scheduler is responsible for coordinating schedules for nursing staff, optimizing staffing levels to meet patient care needs, and maintaining accurate records of staff assignments and visits completed.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain nursing schedules that ensure adequate coverage while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with nursing leadership to understand staffing needs and adjust schedules as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding meetings, schedules and changes. Communicate effectively with patients or patient representatives regarding nursing visits.
• Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, time worked, and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Address scheduling conflicts and staffing shortages promptly and effectively.
• Respond to unforeseen events and adjust schedules in real-time to meet emergent need and ensure continuity of care
• Process nursing visit vouchers for payment.
• Monitor timely submission of documentation according to agency policy and procedures.
• Prepare and distribute admission and revisit packages.
• Upload documents into EMR.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the EMR is accurate and current.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Graduate with some College or business education preferred.
• Minimum of one year's experience in scheduling, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong telephone, organizational, typing and communication skills necessary. Ability to maintain accurate schedules, notes, and records.
• Demonstrated people skills.
• Computer literate and proficient in use of HHAeXchange software.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented person who can multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
