Our client is seeking to add an AM Engineer to their team in the Greater Los Angeles area. It is an onsite position and relocation assistance may be a consideration. This is an ITAR regulated facility.
The AM Engineer will print a part based on a given CAD file, the data needs to be processed carefully. For example, the vectors along which the laser is guided need to be generated and each vector needs to be assigned to one of up to twelve optical systems. This process is called Data Preparation and is one of the keys to success for their current and future Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) systems.
