Role: Business Analyst
Duration: 6 months plus very likely extension.
Location: Canada (Remote)

Our client, a recognized pharmaceutical manufacturing company is looking to hire a Business Analyst for a 6-month contract.

The Contract Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) is a senior individual contributor who will focus on a specific strategic initiative aimed to deliver a state-of-the-art clinical research site intelligence repository. The goal of the site repository is to centralize key data points of interest in a unified data solution. A current state assessment and definition of the future state will be part of the key deliverables. The assessments will also need to consider current processes related to the subject matter, gap analysis with identification of stop gap initiatives to ensure the new data solution is successful and integrated optimally within the organization.
Your New Role:
• Engage with stakeholders/subject matter experts to complete the current and future state assessments and requirements
• Build relationships with all stakeholders to understand their issues, goals/objectives, and needs.
• Develop an understanding of the organizational level view of the processes, systems and functions related to the scope of work.
• Utilize standard (industry) techniques and methodologies to document and communicate the current and future state using but not limited to process flows, data dictionaries, use cases, business, and functional requirements specifications.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, make recommendations including a gap analysis to facilitate streamlining the future state business processes.
• Provide input towards the identification of a system to support the project scope, development and administration of the future state processes, standards and guidelines to support the solution

What You’ll Need to Do to Succeed:
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• CRO Industry experience preferred, must understand the landscape.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and part of a team and meet important deadlines.
• Comfortable analyzing large datasets, identifying inefficiencies, inaccuracies and making recommendations
• Requirements elicitation, documentation, and elaboration (refining requirements with assumptions, constraints, dependencies, issues and risks.
• Facilitation skills and business process mapping and analysis experience are essential.
• PMI-PBA/IIBA Certification considered strong assets
• Working knowledge of current programming and data analytics languages/tools and statistical analysis skills are an asset.
• Experience leading and managing large scale process improvement initiatives
• Process modeling and analysis skills including but not limited to information gathering, gap analysis between current and future state along with root cause analysis.
• Experience with AWS/Azure, Data Catalogs and Power BI is an asset
