JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to join our Corporate Finance team.
As a Financial Analysis Vice President within the Business Aligned Specialized Solutions (BASS) Product Line of Enterprise Technology, you will oversee financial control, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of product financials and business metrics. Your role will also involve delivering monthly and quarterly management reports. You will collaborate with business product leads, assisting in strategic decision-making related to products and their financials. As a Vice President, you will be accountable for one of our key financial measures such as expenses, headcount, or profitability modelling, where your role will be to provide value-added financial reporting and analysis. Regular interaction with FP&A Managers, line of business CFOs, and peers across Finance & Business Management and the business will be a significant part of your role.
Job Responsibilities:
• Budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analysis
• Reporting, analytics and strategy - including, but not limited to - location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics
• Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives
• Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
• Processing/delivering month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
• Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and presenting commentary to BASS CIO and Product Leads as well as to FP&A managers and line of business CFOs to explain changes from prior forecasts/budgets.
• Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• A minimum of 7+ years of work experience in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
• Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
• Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
