The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is
seeking to hire a Cross Country, Assistant Coach.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Assistant Coach for Women’s Cross Country will oversee player
development of the student-athletes for the program. The Assistant
Coach for Women’s Cross Country will also meet all objectives of
the sport within the University, Athletic Department, NCAA and Sun
Belt Conference rules and regulations. The Assistant Cross Country
Coach recruit student-athletes for long distance races during
in/outdoor tract seasons, along with the cross-country competitive
seasons. This coach will work with the Head Coach to ensure
scholarship allotment is distributed properly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Coach and recruit student-athletes for the Women's
Cross-Country program to include all aspects of academic success,
strength and conditioning, planning of practice, organization of
team meetings, and film study. This position will meet all
objectives of the sport within the University, Athletic Department,
NCAA, and SBC rules and regulations.
• Assist coaches and coaching staff in all aspects related to the
assigned program.
• Counsel and monitor team members in academic, disciplinary, and
personal matters; support fundraising efforts for the program;
attend all athletic department meetings; and other relative
events.
• Organizes, supervises, coordinates and employs sound coaching
techniques and practices. Prepares student-athletes physically,
mentally, and emotionally to compete for Conference Championships
and post-season competitions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Cross
Country/Track & Field, Senior Associate Athletic Director, and
Athletic Director.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a
combination of education and related experience.
