Business Development Representative, Annuity

Introduction

Join a new initiative within the IBM Software Annuity organization focused on improving client satisfaction through digital engagement on social media platforms. This position requires strong sales skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to foster client relationships effectively.

Your Role and Responsibilities
• Engage with clients using digital platforms such as LinkedIn, OneMob, ISC, Salesloft, and comparable tools. Key responsibilities include:
• Formulate a strategic marketing approach to boost engagement among current customers in your territory.
• Initiate contact with clients +9 months prior to renewal date.
• Identify Line of Business (LoB) contacts within client install base.
• Promote attendance for IBM events.
• Identify and prioritize strategic initiatives for top client accounts.
• Share customer insights with Annuity sellers, business partners, and brand representatives
• Pipeline management responsibilities include:
• Ensure CRM pipeline accuracy by documenting upcoming actions, challenges, sales progress, and expected closure dates.
• Conduct analysis on last price paid data for qualified opportunities.
• Prepare install base reports for Annuity sellers, highlighting opportunities for modernization and recovery.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Two years experience in sales, preferably in a renewal or customer retention role.
• Two years selling experience leveraging digital platforms (ie.. Linkedin, OneMob, and Salesloft).
• Capacity to analyze renewal data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
• Time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings.
