The Gujral Lab at Fred Hutch has an opening for a Computational Scientist with experience in developing and implementing machine learning pipelines for analyzing large-scale datasets. This position will collaborate with members of Dr. Taran Gujral's laboratory in the Division of Human Biology to address critical issues in cancer etiology, treatment, metastasis, and drug resistance. This approach combines cutting-edge computational methods with focused biological studies in patient tumor tissues and animal models. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing machine learning pipelines for analyzing in-house generated drug screening and molecular profiling datasets, identifying and utilizing appropriate computational modeling tools to meet project needs, and reviewing current literature to adopt new software and methodologies, thereby enhancing analysis capabilities. Additionally, the Computational Scientist will work closely with Gujral Lab members to ensure high data quality and select the most appropriate analytical methodologies, while also providing figures, methods, and results for manuscripts, presentations, and grant applications.
