Job Description

This role will be based in New York.

We want LinkedIn to be the place where the newsmakers go to break important updates and to help facilitate important conversations around these news topics. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Feed News team.

Our News SPM will partner closely with our world class Editorial Team to build products that help us recognize & cluster news as it breaks, improve our editorial effectiveness and create delightful member experiences to consume the news.

Responsibilities
• Partner closely with our Editorial Team to develop algorithms and tools for clustering news topics
• Build tools to improve editorial effectiveness in identifying breaking news and surrounding storylines around the news
• Leverage AI to better match the news topics to the member’s interests and what they’d find valuable
• Make data-driven decisions on how best to solve customer challenges by pulling and analyzing data from multiple sources
• Build user experiences and interfaces that are valuable, simple and intuitive to job seekers and customers
• Drive product strategy, planning, and detailed product requirements to solve these problems and create value for customers
• Generate buy-in and excitement with key stakeholders and executives across LinkedIn
• Contribute toward a team culture focused on high velocity decision making, deep care, and learning

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in product management or equivalent role
• BS/BA Degree in a technology-related field OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
• MS degree in a technology-related field
• Strong analytical skills and comfort making data-driven decisions
• Strong skills in UX / User Experience
• Experience in Machine Learning and working with Generative AI
• Ability to collaborate and lead across multiple partner teams with strong systems thinking

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $146,000 to $238,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
