Job Overview – Financial Analyst (AML):
Join our client as a Financial Analyst (AML), where you'll review financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulations. This temporary position, available in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, is perfect for those looking to gain experience in financial crime compliance and AML operations.
Location: Position available in New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey
Compensation: $25 – $35/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Financial Analyst (AML):
• Transaction Monitoring: Oversee suspicious activities and transactions using the firm's surveillance system and internal payment systems.
• Alert Review: Evaluate AML and OFAC/Sanction alerts, conducting thorough research to gather necessary supporting documentation.
• Investigation: Analyze system-generated AML alerts and scrutinize account transactions for suspicious activity, such as penny stock trading and complex money movements.
• Documentation: Gather and review supporting documents to identify unusual transaction patterns.
• Data Collection: Independently conduct searches and record evidence using the firm's internal systems, commercial databases, and online resources.
• KYC Assistance: Support KYC tasks, including watchlist screening alerts and periodic reviews, as business needs dictate.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst (AML):
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in AML, compliance, or financial analysis.
• Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, strong research abilities, and familiarity with AML regulations and practices.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
