The role will work closely with various Capital Markets and Treasury lines of business across multiple legal entities, serving as US Treasury's resident subject matter experts and existing and new products within our growing business. Within this framework and in a fast paced, high profile environment, the candidate is accountable to: Become a subject matter expert on liquidity risk themes, metrics and models in the US Region pertaining to Capital Markets. Form relationships with key Capital Markets lines of business managers, Risk Management personnel, and Operations support groups. Drive preparation of in depth analysis on liquidity exposures as required and prepare presentations to Management and other forums such as management committees. Contribute to monitoring of liquidity risk include, limits, collateral management and funding profiles the entire US Region and its material entities pertaining to Capital Markets. Partner with the lines of business and Risk Management through the new products and change management process to support growth in the CUSO, particularly with Capital Markets. Enhance documentation around all key US Liquidity Management process, including details of controls and validation procedures. Support the implementation of effective process and control, in accordance to internal and external quality standards and requirements for liquidity reporting. Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of the liquidity reporting systems and models along with other liquidity related initiatives, as required. Support resolution of audit deficiencies and other initiatives as required. Qualifications Successful candidates must exhibit CIBC’s values of trust, team work and accountability. Must have a university degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field. 5 to 10 years of work experience in the Financial Services industry, with at least 5 years in a Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, or Capital Markets function. Strong subject matter expertise in Capital Markets products including securities lending, investment banking, repo, wholesale funding, broker/dealers, prime brokerage, securitization, and/or trading. Expertise in Excel, proficiency in Word and Power point. Skills in other data tools such as Power Bi, Tableau, and SQL; financial modeling experience a plus. Ability to create professional PowerPoint decks to be presented to Senior Management. Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to deliver results. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000.00- $170,000.00 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
