Position: Dairy Farm Worker/Farm Hand
Location: Seven Stars Farm Organic Dairy, Phoenixville, PA
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience/housing availability)

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated Dairy Farm Worker/Farm Hand to assist in various farm operations. This role is essential to the daily functioning of our dairy farm and involves a range of tasks related to animal care, milking, and general farm maintenance. On-farm housing may be available for full-time employees.
Key Responsibilities:
\tMilking: Perform early morning and/or afternoon milking duties, ensuring the proper handling and care of cows during the process.
\tAnimal Care: Move and handle cows of all ages, ensuring their well-being and health. This includes learning and applying cow health care practices and feeding routines.
\tBarn Chores: Conduct daily barn chores, including cleaning stalls, replenishing bedding, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals.
\tGrazing Management: Move cows to fresh pastures every morning and night, following our rotational grazing practices to promote sustainable land use.
\tGeneral Farm Maintenance: Assist with basic mechanical tasks and repairs as needed to maintain the farm’s equipment and infrastructure.
\tWeather Adaptability: Work in various weather conditions, ensuring that all tasks are completed regardless of environmental challenges.
Qualifications:
\tExperience: Previous experience in farming and agriculture is preferred. Experience with milking is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
\tAnimal Handling: Demonstrated ability to handle and care for animals with patience and respect.
\tMechanical Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
\tWork Ethic: Strong willingness to work hard and adapt to different weather conditions and work schedules.
