We're looking for an SEO consultant for a SaaS SEO Agency who is obsessed with the latest SEO developments and how they can impact their clients.
Our SEO Manager must have experience writing 360-degree SEO strategies incorporating content and on-page tactics, outreach and link building, and technical SEO.
This position pays from £30,000 to £38,000 (DOE)
We're not expecting someone to come in and do it all. We have fully functioning teams who are experts in building links and creating content. We need someone to orchestrate the band, so to speak, to direct our expert delivery teams against a strategy that is in harmony with our clients' expected results.
We are looking for an individual who loves SEO and has the passion and confidence in their own abilities to be accountable for client performance.
About us
We specialise in SaaS SEO fuelled by a combination of human expertise, data analysis, and automation.
Our skills lie in the strategic use of content, SEO, large-scale outreach, and link building to obtain organic results for our clients that match paid performance channels.
We focus on finding the leanest, most efficient, and most effective routes to get there. Forget the old agency adage of 'pulling a late one'; we're all about working smarter, not harder, while respecting our colleagues' work-life balance.
We work with scale-up and enterprise SaaS companies, such as Zendesk, Sage, RingCentral, Databricks etc
About you
You will be client-facing when required, and will help out with the account management of clients. However, you will work with a client manager that will do most of the heavy lifting around this.
You will work closely with the SEO Manager and assist them in strategising successful SEO campaigns for our clients.
You'll also need to pick up some hands-on technical SEO work that might include anything from a site health check to a domain migration; however, you will be able to work with execs who will support you with this. This also means you can train other SEO employees and help improve our processes.
• At least 2 years previous or current experience as an SEO at a specialist or equivalent level, and the ability to demonstrate your knowledge/experience.
• Awareness of link building and experience with these types of campaigns is very beneficial.
• Agency background—ideally 1 year within an SEO agency.
Has worked on enterprise-level SEO or SEO budgets of over £7k per month.
• Must possess great interpersonal skills and be able to connect with people from diverse international backgrounds.
Responsibilities of the role include:
• Working with clients and the SEO manager to define their KPIs to create the correct SEO strategy and achieve the defined KPIs.
• Delegating work to our internal stakeholders, whether they be content writers, outreach, technical, or SEO executives, to ensure all the available resources are in line with your strategy and delivering the results you need.
• In-depth keyword research and keyword analysis.
• In-depth SERP analysis.
• You will be expected to define the correct content approaches for our clients, identifying what keywords we should rank them for to deliver results, the type of content that must be created to rank, and how to get said content to rank.
• We're looking for someone who isn't afraid of in-depth spreadsheet work. What some agencies consider keyword research, we consider the crux of a strategy. Defining where a keyword sits in the client's customer funnel and how realistic it is to rank for that keyword against the competitors with the available client budget is a huge part of the initial strategy for which you'll be responsible.
• Assist in creating client reports (our preference is Data Studio, but we're not precious if you have a better solution).
• Assist in the training of execs, and identifying knowledge or skill gaps, then liaising with the SEO manager to propose how we fill those gaps.
• Forecasting and projecting what work is needed, working with the project manager to understand what resources are needed at that point, and preparing for new clients we hope to take on are all important aspects of our work.
• Being a part of pitches if needed to help tie up prospective clients.
• Be hungry to pursue further career growth opportunities within the agency
Our staff benefits are:
• 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown.
9 day fortnight - every other Friday off.
• 2 extra days accumulated per year for each full year of service, up to a total of 8 days.
• Flexi-time: work your hours between 8 am and 7 pm.
• Wellbeing hub: access to 24-hour support.
• Lifestyle discounts from many service providers, including restaurants, cinemas, and travel agents.
• Cycle to work scheme.
• Working outside the UK for up to 3 months after 9 months of employment.
