The Des Moines Menace is hiring seasonal soccer coaches for their Junior Menace youth program. This person will be able to share their passion for soccer, while teaching the game to kids of all abilities. Coaches will be in charge of practices that will include a mix of skill work, drills, and scrimmaging.

About Junior Menace:
Junior Menace is for 3-9 year old kids of all skill levels. The program takes place in the fall (August-October), winter (January-March), and spring (March-May). Each season has 3-4 locations that each practice once a week for seven weeks. Every practice is broken into two age groups: 3-4 year old’s practice for the first thirty-minutes followed by 5-9 year old’s who practice for sixty-minutes. Hired coaches will coach both sessions (for a total of an hour and a half practice).
Responsibilities
▪ Arrives 10-15 minutes prior to scheduled start time and can handle a group of 10 or more children
▪ Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with parents, kids, and other coaching staff
▪ Must enjoy interacting with young children (3-9 years old) and be able to connect with them on their level. You must be very outgoing and animated; able to be silly with the children.
▪ Soccer experience is preferred, however, if you are great with children and have some familiarity with the game, that would work.
• All hired coaches will be subject to a background check and required to complete online safety trainings prior to coaching.
