This is an on-site position located in Rochester, NY and cannot be done remotely
The Software Developer Intern will work in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced, process-oriented environment to successfully integrate hardware with software technology, including optics, mechanical systems, electronic systems, image processing, and servo systems. They will keep current in technology and methods for systems development, especially those that help to increase understanding of dimensional metrology as applied to measurement and inspection.
Requirements
Specific Duties include but are not limited to:
• Design and develop enhancements to current software products of View and QVI.
• Maintain and enhance embedded software for motion control and device control subsystems.
• Develop new and more efficient algorithms for use in metrology.
• Design, develop, document, and maintain system specifications to meet customer requirements for advanced multi-sensor (laser, optical, 3D probe, etc) measurement products.
• Design experiments for verification of system performance.
• Work with internal clients to determine requirements and issues related to the use of sub-products.
• Develop custom user interfaces that meet our customer’s needs.
