Job Description:

Our P/C insurance client, located in Gahanna Ohio, is looking to add a P/C claims administrative assistant to their team. This is an on-site temp to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Office Administration:
• Handle incoming calls and route accordingly
• Monitor email inbox for Claims
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Manage office supplies, office repairs and other office operations
• Sitting in on meetings and note taking

Claims Support:
• Prepare and review documents for claims processing, ensuring accuracy
• Maintain claims files and database
• Communicate with clients, insurance companies to gather information
• Track and follow up on claims status
• Assist in preparation of presentations and other materials for clients

Requirements:
• 3 or more years working in office administration or claims support position (possible position would be office manager, office assistant, customer service/account manager, claims assistant, claims support)
• Understanding of insurance claims processing (What is a claim, what does the processing lifecycle look like etc)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Experience in a customer facing position, where discretion, detail and providing a high level of customer service skill was used.
• Specific insurance product knowledge: insurance experience (doesn’t matter line or product)
• Systems/Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Certifications, Education or Licenses: Associates or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
