### Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager at a Fast-Growing SaaS Startup
#### Overview
An exciting opportunity awaits for experienced accounting professionals looking to join a fast-growing SaaS startup. This fully remote role is specifically targeting candidates located on the West Coast.
#### Key Responsibilities
• **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and review precise financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, while overseeing month-end close and general ledger management.
• **Revenue Recognition**: Manage revenue recognition processes for SaaS in accordance with ASC 606. Oversee billing, collections, and revenue forecasting to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
• **Account Reconciliation**: Conduct regular reconciliations for various accounts, including bank and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• **Budgeting & Forecasting**: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses. Offer valuable insights and recommendations to support financial planning and strategy.
• **Audit & Compliance**: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing any audit findings. Maintain documentation and compliance with internal controls.
• **Team Leadership**: Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance to promote high performance and professional development. Collaborate with upper management and share financial performance updates with investors monthly.
#### Qualifications
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation and prior experience with a Big 4 firm.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years in a senior accountant role within the SaaS industry.
• Familiarity with multi-location and multi-product pricing models is a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous; knowledge of larger ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle is preferred.
• Proven track record of supporting business scaling and working cross-functionally.
• Experience with IPOs or exits from VC funding, especially Series B+, is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
