Position Summary
AIRTEC, Inc. is seeking a Linguistic Support Liaison’s (LSL) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of AIRTEC’s Program of Record. The LSL will work directly with clients/customers to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable AIRTEC scope and operations. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each program and/or project are compatible. The LSL will work within a team environment and monitor activity and coordinate with host nation agencies and/or other organizations. To overcome the language barrier between flight crews and LSLs, a U.S. interpreter, a Linguistic Support Liaison (LSL), is required on all flights. The LSL acts as an on-board liaison/interpreter coordinating with personnel and providing training to personnel aboard the aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have strong teambuilding skills, exhibit strong leadership potential, and possess comprehensive verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
Essential Functions
• Day and night Maritime Patrol (MPA) missions over Partner Nation (PN) sovereign airspace onboard US Navy and USCS P-3, USAF E-3, and other US aircraft, as required in order to conduct LSL support to the Maritime Patrol Operations.
• Provide Airborne and Ground Escort for LSLs.
• Perform airborne duties as an Operational Support Flyer.
• Translates inter-aircraft and intra-aircraft communications.
• Involved in coordinating and maintaining professional relationships with foreign military, civilians, law enforcement agents, contractors, liaison officer teams and international agencies.
• Travels to forward operating locations (FOL) and other sites as necessary to support USSOUTHCOM AOR Maritime Patrol operations.
• Knowledge is desired in military command and control and aviation terminology, joint service relationships, and operational concepts.
• Communicates via tactical radio nets.
• Acts as airborne liaison providing linguistic support for aircrew and LSLs, communicating with ground-based command and control agencies and airborne assets tasked to execute detection and tracking of illicit activities.
Skills Required
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English (listening, reading) testable to a 3+/3+ on DLPT.
• Must be able to travel to OCONUS locations for periods of 45 days or more.
• Physical Standards: Must be able to pass a Class III Flight Physical and complete Initial Physiological Training.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Self-Starter with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Team player who is results oriented, win mentality.
• Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Travel
• Travel and rotational deployment throughout the United States and locations outside of the United States, including austere locations, is required.

Salary Range: $100,000 per year or $550 per day/per rotation (will be paid from HOR through entire deployment period, and until the return trip to HOR). Travel per diem provided while deployed.
