### Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of annotation guidelines and tools for data annotation tasks.
- Accurately annotate natural language data within specified deadlines, while adhering to established guidelines.
- Conduct qualitative error trend analysis on the annotated data.
- Collect and organize data according to predefined criteria and manage unique data requests for various NLP/NLU applications.
- Collaborate with ML Data Linguists to resolve any ambiguities or disagreements in data annotation.
- Provide constructive feedback to Language Engineers to improve annotation guidelines and processes.
- Serve as a computational linguistic expert guiding analytical and linguistics research projects aimed at enhancing user interaction with virtual assistants.
- Analyze user utterances to assist in the continuous improvement of NLP models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve false positives to enhance the language model’s effectiveness.
### Qualifications
- **Clearance**: An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- **Education**: Bachelor's Degree in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, Computer Science with Linguistics emphasis, or a relevant equivalent discipline.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in delivering real-world software solutions related to NLP and machine translation.
- **Programming**: Demonstrable experience in modern programming and scripting languages such as Python, and familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
### Education Requirements
- **Minimum Degree**: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, or Computer Science.
### Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in software solutions employing NLP technologies, with demonstrated results in a similar capacity.
